Surprise in the mail!

Imagine my surprise when the mailman came recently and left me a package in the mail.  As I hadn't ordered anything lately, I couldn't think of what it could be.  It was a gorgeous mini quilt from my good friend Wanda, who made one for each of our private group for Christmas.  She wasn't able to get them to us on time because her sister passed away unexpectedly, so needless to these little beauties were put on hold.  This is the one she made specifically for me in fall colors, which I love! Isn't it beautiful?!

  **Immaginare la mia sorpresa quando il postino è venuto recentemente e mi ha lasciato un pacchetto nella posta. Poiché non avevo ordinato niente ultimamente, non potrei pensare di ciò che potrebbe essere. Era un magnifico mini quilt dalla mia amica Wanda, che ha fatto uno per ciascuno dei nostri gruppi privati per Natale. Non poteva spedire a noi in orario perché sua sorella è morto inaspettatamente, dunque e normale che questi e un po in ritardo. Questo lei ha fatto specificatamente per me nei colori di autunno, che si sa e il mio preferito! Non è bello?!!

Swaps

It is snowing here again, and to help keep myself busy I have joined a bunch of differant swaps online.  I hope to have pics up of all the differant projects I will be swapping as I do them. 

The first swap I signed up for is a Doll Quilt swap on About.com, that my good friend Wanda has been trying to get me to join for months.  There is no specific theme this round so I decided to make a pattern that I have been wanting to make for a long time.  I am using all batiks for this little quilt, and hope to have it finished, and pics posted soon.

**Sta nevvicando qui di nuovo e quindi per aiutarmi di stare occupata, ho aggiunta un pugno di swap tramite l'internet.  Spero di avere delle immagine di tutti i projetti, per tutti i swap quando sono finito.

**Il cambia dapprima mi sono iscritto a è un mini quilt, che la mia amica Wanda mi ha convinta di fare. Non c'è alcun tema specifico questa volta, così ho deciso di fare un disegno che ho voluto fare per tanto tempo.    Uso tutti i tessuti batik per questa piccola quilt ed e quasi finita.  Non ho dei foto ancora, pero penso di scatta un po domani.

CQ Heart

Hello again,  I am very fortunate to be a part of a wonderful small group of online friends and we exchange CQ blocks, and one of them, sadly lost her sister recently, so the other ladies and I, made her crazy quilt hearts in memory of her sister.  This is mine..

Ciao a tutti!  Sono talmente fortunate di essere un part di un gruppo privato, fatto di donne  meraviglioso tramite l'internet, e noi scambia i blocci di crazy patch.  Uno di quelli ha perso la sua sorella recentamente, e l'altri di noi ha creato i cuori fatti in crazy, per lei in memoria della sua sorella.  Ecco e mio.

Christmas projects/ Progetti Natalizie

Well, I am late in posting these, but here are a few projects I was able to get done over the holidays.  This is the beautiful advent calender I made from a panel by Nancy Halvorsen from the Good Tidings collection.  LOVE this!! 

Sono un po in ritardo per mettere questi foto di piccolli lavoretti che ho fatto durante le feste.  Questo e un bellissimo calendario natalizio di Nancy Halvorsen che si chiama Good Tidings...sicuramente e famoso tramezzo i miei amici Italiani!

This is a table topper that I made for my mother for Christmas.  Its very simple in design but I really love it, and she did too! 

Questo e un centro tavola che ho fatto per la mia mamma per il regao di Natale.  Mi piace tantissime anche se il desegno e semplice...e la mamma ha piacuto pure! 

These next two pics are of the little wall hanging that I made for my sister.  She was born on Christmas Eve, and when we were little I was always jealous because my mother would let her open some of her presents early, and she always used to brag about it lol.   She loves animals and nature, and loves to spend alot of time outdoors, so this is what I made her for her Birthday/Christmas.  I am still getting the hang of free motion quilting, but I wanted to add some three dimension to it, and I am very pleased with the end results.

Allora, questo e il lavoro che ho fatto per la mia sorella.  Lei e nata il 24 di Dicembre, e quando siamo stati piccoli, la mamma ha permette di aprire qualche regalo in anticipo, e mi stave sempre gelosa anche perche lei non mi ha mai permette di dimenticare.   Lei ama gli animale e natura, e passa tantissme tempo fuori casa all'attivita diverentente, quindi ho fatto questo per la sua regalo di Compleanno/ Natale.  Non sono ancora adatta di trapuntare a mano libero pero volevo creare un po di tre dimensionalita e sono veramente contenta di come e venuto. 





Blogging Once Again..Finally! Sono qui di nuovo..finalmente!

Well this year has been long and rough, and stressful but finally I am finding time to get back into the swing of things.  Actually I got inspired to post some videos of my kids playing in the snow, but I hope to post more quilty pics soon. 

Ecco mi qui.  Mi dispiace per la mia silenzio durante queste mese lungo, ma il trasloco erano talmente complicato.  La verita e ho voluto postare un paia di video dei miei figli slittando nelle neve.  Loro non hanno mai visto la neve cosi, e quindi quest anno, la nostra primo inverno in America insieme, e speciale.
